The forest chapel from the 16th century is about 50 meters away from the 964-hohe castle hotel Coburg Land and is in family property. The use of the castle chapel is only possible upon request and costs about 80 EUR to 150 EUR according to the number of people.
The romantic chapel has an old wooden lectern, an altar and a historical (but destroyed in the 2nd World War) organ. Upon request, an organ player plays on the electric organ, which is available in addition to the historical organ.
The castle chapel in the forest has up to 80 seating places, plus up to 60 standing places and can be used for protestant or catholic marriages as well as for other festivities.

Contact address for protestant marriages: Protestant rectory Scherneck, Hauptstrasse 32, 96253 Untersiemau-Scherneck. The rectorate is temporarily vacant. But you can order a protestant priest by the above mentioned address. The protestant marriage can be celebrated in the castle chapel upon request and according to the mentioned conditions or in the parish church Scherneck (about 1 km away from the 964-hohe castle hotel Coburg Land). The pretty parish church with three galleries offers space for up to about 300 people.
